A delicious example of why you should taste it BEFORE you judge it. A personal childhood favourite of mine passed down from my mother. Even the genuine Tupperware mould with different shaped topper plates and serving tray.
**IMPORTANT** Do not forget to grease the container.... been there, done that, lost the beauty of a Blue Jays logo cake pan mould. Also, this recipe as below is doubled. Why, because MORE IS BETTER!!!
1 cup of pineapple juice (taken from draining the above cans). (My mom would have me say that the actual recipe calls for orange juice, same amount, so, if you don't end up with a full cup of pineapple juice, top it up with OJ)
2 cups of shredded carrots. I usually shred baby-cut carrots, as the rest of the bag makes a nice snack later. If you're shredding regular carrots, you'll need aboot 3 average-sized carrots.
Steps:
Grease your pan/jello mould.
Shred/grate your carrots.
Seperate your crushed pineapple and pineapple juice.
Pour boiling water into mixing bowl.
One at a time, mix in the jello powder until fully dissolved.
Add pineapple juice.
Add in shredded carrots and crushed pineapple.
For fucckks sake, make sure your destination pan is greased.
Pour into greased jello mould(s) let set overnight in the refrigerator.
Flip over onto serving tray and serve!
